Your friend put his bike away for the winter and I rode in short sleeves today. We're expecting a coldfront, we're really going to suffer the next 7 days.

Maybe your friend would start a Servants of Christ motorcycle ministry chapter there.
Thank you for the kind welcome you gave me. I am new to this type of thing but I thought it might be good to be able to share some of the things I have been learning and be an encouragement to others like you are trying to do.
I don't appear to have too much in common with you though other than Jesus. I am not much of a car guy like you are. I am more philosophical by nature and not too interested in cars like most guys.
Thank you for visiting my page. Hopefully soon I will have some interesting things posted for you to read. Take care and God bless you.
Good morning, Thanks for the invitation. I live in Phenix City, just about 30 miles from Eufaula, Al. So, when you was there, then you was in my neighborhood. I am happy to have you as a friend
Yeah it is gettin a little chilly up here. Although I saw quite a few people out riding today (temps in the low 40's). Had quite a frost last night. I heard someone say that some places up north are expecting up to 2 inches of the white stuff, but I hope not....not ready for that yet. But I was thinkin' how lucky those people that were out riding today ,cold or not, and I remembered some rides that I used to go on.
Bonhoffer!!! Wading through is certainly the truth! I've never got much out of the Germanic writing in "theology" and discipleship. Somehow the Germans seemed to complicated things too much for me. Seems to me that since Martin Luther, all the "oppositition" to orthodox Christianity comes from the Germans or the Danes I started Bonhoffer once, but got just so far before getting sort of bored with his self-absorbtion. But he did lead an intense life and there still is much that can be learned.
Read the "Winds of War" long ago. It's still on my shelf. My reading lately has been a lot of apologetics and responses to Hutchins and Dawkins atheistic drivel. Two of my theology students are student at our local state university, the University of Massachusetts. One is getting a MA in Industrial Psychology and the other is a Sociology major. Both are relatively new believers and we spend a great deal of time dealing with the challenges they face in school, especially in the area of the validity of belief.
I've covered the proofs for the Bible pretty deeply with them and the basics of biblical interpretation, prophecy, the logical arguments for the existence of God, nature of God so far. We are beginning the principles of theology proper and just what is doctrine so we can investigate our church's doctrinal statements.
Seems I don't have a lot of time for "outside" reading anymore, but I love working with these guys and helping them face the liberal, atheist challenges.
Health is doing pretty good, as well as can be expected. I have Parkinson's but in the very early stages, VERY early, so we take them one day at a time.
BTW, the headlight stuff worked. I got some 600 grit and 1000 grit and wet sanded the lenses. Then I got some of the cream scratch remover for smoothing paint prior to clear coating and followed with some stuff I got from my helicopter maintenance friend that they use to polish the windshields on helicopers. Did a very good job. Reduced the scratching and hazing by half. I figure if I do it again a couple of times it should bring the lenses to nearly complete clarity.
