So I was thinking last night size=3> &n bsp; Being a biker is a really great opportunity for ministry. I have believed this for quite awhile now, which is why I became a member of the Black Sheep Motorcycle Ministry. Think about it. A motorcycle naturally draws attention. People can often hear that engine rumbling before they see you. And while you see those stickers that say Loud Pipes Save Lives, they do more than that. When people look and see just what is making all that noise, they will see the rider and quite possibly notice his or her attire. So many bikers, such as myself, wear patches declaring some kind of allegiance. And when you think about it, it is only natural that God would use a great hobby such as motorcycling for his people to witness.
So let take advantage of this folks. If you going to make a lot of noise everywhere you go and stand out, I encourage you to make the most of it.
Peace,
Dave

I’ma loud guy.
&n bsp; I have loud hobbies. I play electric bass guitar, one of the most ground shaking instruments available. I tend to turn up the volume on my car stereo a tad too high. And of course, I ride a Harley, enough said there. And I talk a lot and loudly, (or so my wife tells me).
&n bsp; One can argue that these activities have a natural tendency to become noisy, and the level of acceptance usually depends on what kind of crowd I am in. They lend themselves well to my personality, since I don mind standing out.
&n bsp; However, there is one area I am not always so loud and vocal about. That is proclaiming the word of Christ. The bible commands us to speak the truth to whomever we are in company with. The bible does not urge us to praise his name at church and biker gatherings; we are commanded to do so. So if I can be loud and obnoxious with my amp, motorcycle, or my mouth, why do I sometimes find it hard to share with the world how much I love Jesus at the top of my voice?
&n bsp; Perhaps some of you can relate. When someone approaches me about my patch, I generally have no problem acknowledging my faith. Before I put on my colors, I pray and ask God to speak through me should the opportunity arise to discuss with another soul what my patch and pins represent. However, I know of some hardcore brothers who will stand in a group of people and loudly declare they are sons of God and ask God to bless those around them.
&n bsp; You usually won hear me being so bold at events. I like to think that it is God calling for some people to have the gift of evangelism in their boldness, and for others to have that gift in a one on one setting. However, I think both are equally important. If I can assault people ears with music or the sound of my rumbling pipes make them notice me or just because I am talking too much, I had better be prepared to make statement. God wants us to be prepared. Loud pipes and loud voices don mean a thing if we don have our hearts and souls right with Him.
&n bsp; So as I pray for God to give me the courage and wisdom to speak up for Him, I also pray that all my brothers and sisters out there who fearlessly speak the truth to the masses will not dissuaded or have their strength be compromised. Thank you Lord, for your grace and sending up opportunities to share your word with others.
