Justification by Faith
DATE: 11/24/2009 22:31:12 / MOOD: Teaching

Romans 3: 21- 31

Bible Study

Justified is a legal term, it means to pronounce guilty To put it in simple language, it means the Act of God in removing the guilt and the penalty of sin from the sinner who places their Faith in the Lord Jesus as Saviour. We are born guilty because we are born with a Sin Nature. I sorry if you did know that.

The Sin Nature is the result of the Fall in Genesis 3: 1- 7. You might be thinking that this is wrong, you weren in the garden. Okay, don lie not even a little white lie. See, Adam & Eve represented the entirety of the Human Race, Romans 5: 12- 14; giving half the chance we would do it our way. your thang do what you wanna do, I can tell you who to sock it to. Right? Psalms 51: 5, I was shaped in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. This is a hard pill to swallow, iniquity is your little sins that you keep from everybody and sin is disobedience to the law or missing the mark, coming up short of God Righteousness, Romans 3: 23.

Grace & Law Pt2
DATE: 08/24/2009 20:59:36 / MOOD: Teaching

Romans 6 & 7

Okay let get this straight from Jump Street, since we are in the very likeness of Christ death and in the likeness of His resurrection then we are free from the Law. If you are in the Law you are dead, remember all the Law can do is say that you are guilty or innocent. And since we ALL come horrible short of the Glory of the LORD, then we are all worthy of death. Get it down plain and straight, stop thinking that you can do something that God will look at and say okay to. Jesus said, am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me. The way is the Cross, the truth is you got to die, and the life is He resurrected life, period. Galatians 3: 11, is clear, one is justified by the Law before God for the Just shall live by Faith. Not Law but Faith, you want God to say that you are justified then live in the Liberty of Christ.

A Snap Shot of the Grace of GOD
DATE: 07/29/2009 21:00:13 / MOOD: Inspirational

The story of David and Mephibosheth is just a quick glands God Grace to mankind that is at enmity with GOD. The fall that Mephibosheth told when he was five shows our (mankind) fall and lameness. He fell is his youth, just the same as Adam and Eve fell in the youth of mankind. Yes, lameness, our inability to walk in the Ways of God and the ways of man. No matter how we try to walk, we fall. We try our hardest to walk in the Ways of God but all we end up doing is setting up rules for ourselves then fall in those rules. And we also think that God is still anger with us for what our grandfather (Adam) did and come to God on the merit of our father (Jesus). If God waited for us to come to Him He would be waiting and waiting and waiting Or if we catch a clue we try to come to God I our own merit, in our own righteousness and fall miserable.

David had to call for Mephibosheth to show him kindness for Jonathan sake, but he used Saul name. Why did he use the name of his enemy? Why didn David just call for Mephibosheth in Jonathan name? He was showing kindness in his name, right? The reign started with Saul, Saul may have been at war with David but David was not at war with Saul House. David was showing grace to Mephibosheth for Jonathan behalf.

Mephibosheth was only at enmity with David in his mind; actually David was only at war with Saul not Saul House. Mephibosheth could not go to David on his own merit. David had to call him onto himself. Just like we can not go to God on our own merit, the Spirit of the Lord has to call us to Himself and use The Cross of Christ to make us worthy of the Spirit of Grace.

Can we truly understand the Grace that God shows to us under the Blood of Jesus? Did we not feel something when we read about the Crucifixion of our Lord and Savior? You and I get to eat at the Master Table and the only way someone can see our lameness is to look under the table.

How The Cross Offens
DATE: 07/28/2009 18:41:56 / MOOD: Teaching

The Cross of Christ must be the object of our Faith. The Cross cuts off all attempts that man can every gain his own salvation. No matter what we try we can not save ourselves. Meaning we can not do any thing in our own power to come back into the Presence of GOD.

Cain and Abel show us that God looks at the offering not the one doing the offering, Genesis 4. God looks at the death of the offering and accept that death as the death of sin man. GOD told the High Priest in Exodus 25: 22 that He would meet with them at the Mercy Seat, God is now telling us that He will meet us at the Cross, Romans 3: 21- 31.

Seed The Is Here
DATE: 07/18/2009 12:43:47 / MOOD: Teaching

Genesis 1: 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth and it was so.

This morning as I was doing my yard, and as I was putting the grass clippings in some the missing areas on my lawn. I actually looked at the lawn clippings and notice the seeds, just then The Spirit of the Lord drop this down into my heart, "I have already given you the Seed that you need. Will you now sow it in the bare spots of your life? " If our lives are the Earth, then God has already given us the Seed which is in us, that we will need to sow so them back into the lives that He wants us to sow so that we all can reap in a harvest. But the thing about is, we don't want to do the work so can enjoy the feast. The working part of Christian living is just about gone. I know about not wanting to do the work but willing to waste money on seed because I was about to go to a nursery and buy some grass seed and fertilizer for a healthier looking yard. The grass seed is in the grass clippings which will at like mulch, but first I had to mow the yard; get a little sweat on my brow, get my heart rate up with all that walking and stretching from husbandry work, and hand spread the mulch.

If we will do the work then God will set the table for the harvest feast. And all the workers will have eat the fruit of a job well done from being a good and faithful servant.

On My Account
DATE: 06/06/2009 11:53:57 / MOOD: Teaching

Philemon 18, is to me a notable quotable, because it stands out as what Christ did for us.  He paid a debt that we could not pay.  He paid the Sin Debt that we owed to GOD.  And He gave us His Right Standing so that we could stand before the Throne of God.  Now we know why, but did we accept it?  Do we go to God in prayer as a sinner saved by Grace or do we go to God in prayer as the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus?  Sometimes I find myself going to God with the Boldness of Christ and sometimes I go in the Meekness of Jesus.  The different is what I want.  Sometimes I just want to thank and praise Him, sometimes I just want to talk, and other times I need something.

Got That Work
DATE: 05/20/2009 18:35:38 / MOOD: Contemplative

Something that my wife had to remind of is; that at one time in our life together I wasn always the man that I am now.  There was a time that I was not worth much.  Wouldn hold a job, cussed like a solider on shore leave and the like.  But Jesus called me to Himself to be the righteousness of God.  This comes at the time that I am in the middle of dealing with a brother that has done some things that have just gotten under my skin.

I guess it not just because of the times that we live in; it because of the TIMES that we are living.  We are so close to the return of Jesus Christ and now is not the time for Christians to be acting up, in anyway, that includes myself.

2Thessalonians talks about living our life to the fullest in the name of Jesus but at the same time be on the alert for Christ to come back.  2Thes. 3: 6 -15 tells us how we are suppose to be found by our Saviour.  God knows our heart and if we delight ourselves in the LORD, He was gives us the desires of our heart.

Who is Self?
DATE: 05/17/2009 16:43:53 / MOOD: In love

As according to the Apostle Paul in Romans self is that Sin Nature that we are born with.  Self in fact is the you that you were before you came to Christ and it's the you that you have to deny if you want to follow Christ.  Christ told all of us that we first must deny self, Luke 9: 23.

This is the most difficult part of the Christian Walk.  Because you have been yourself for years and you just came to Christ.  And the real problem is that today's Preachers call for us to find the champion inside of you, and that not even scripture.  The One that is inside of you is the Holy Spirit and You.  And these two forces are warring with one another daily.

That why we have to crucify ourselves daily.  The cross is not that blinged-out piece of jewelry that we wear.  It is a death machine and everybody that comes up against it dies.  And we as Christians have to crucify ourselves daily or that old man will make a come back.

So the question is: When are we as a church going get up on the cross a die already?

Let's Go To Philemon's House
DATE: 05/08/2009 21:29:54 / MOOD: Inspirational

Bro. Philemon house is a good example of the way a Christian household should be ran.  There is a taste of the Fruit of Grace growing in his house that should be in ours.  Paul tells Philemon that he knows about the many saints that have come to his house and were refreshed, v 7.  It had to be very troubling during thoughts times to be a Christian but to know that there were saint homes that they could go to and just be filled with the Holy Spirit and good Christian hospitality, that would be so very relieving.   And the fact that the news made its way to Paul in prison was an even greater feat.

Even though Onesimus was a runway, Paul knew that now that Onesimus was a fellow brother in the Faith,  and Philemon would receive him as he had always received the saints.  This is the part of Grace that the world just can understand, forgiveness.  Before you can give someone grace you have to forgive the ills that they committed on you long ago.  Before GOD gives us grace, He first had to forgive us.  But we must first go to Him humbly and ask for forgiveness.  And that what Onesimus did with this beautifully letter.  With this Grace comes peace.  How much peace is in your house?  How much peace are you the author of?  Peace is not silence; peace is knowing that the Holy Spirit is walking around putting everybody mind in line with His Will.

Humility brings forgiveness; Forgiveness grace; Grace peace; and peace is only given to those that are in the Will of God.
