Beautiful Feet

"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" The gospel transforms both the listener (translates him from being a child of darkness into a child of light) and the sower. The sower is made beautiful from head to toe.
Moral: The gospel glorifies God and beautifies all sinners. Even the last little toe!

Two Religions

DO! vs DONE!
Virtually all religions fall into the first category. They say you must earn your way into God's favor at the judgement.
The alternative is to agree with Him that you are a sinner beyond any hope of self-redemption. Humbly throw yourself before Him, trusting the blood of His sacrifice to wash you clean.
Luke 18 teaches that one of these people went away justified - which do you think it was?

Pattern for a Victorious Church

The book of Joshua is the complete pattern for a victorious church. Chapter 3 is the simmary of it all. The Lord leads up front - the ark of the covenant. The pastor follows - Joshua (God's man). The church members follow the pastor - the children of Israel. The fine print is that they all must be sanctified - clean before the Lord (prayer of confession).
Take a look at yourself and your church - are the key ingredients evident?
