DATE: 12/26/2007 08:44:14 / MOOD: Reflective

I have to go to New Orleans Louisiana  for work on a new Job I have been given, so I go by myself without the family and comforts of life to check everything out and if every thing is what it seems then I will have to find a place there to live that I can bring my family to.

I will be checking the churches out also and seeing if I like it there enough to move my family to New Orleans. The Art and Music looks great and has always been a interest of mine since I have always been an Artist and play the Guitar ( Blues and Rock ), The Football team the Saints I like so this may be a good thing to do, so I will give it a chance.

I leave the 1st of January 2008 so I will not be on the computer for a month or more maybe to see what is going on or to make any changes or add anything. Happy new Years to all and may God bless us all in our life and travels.

In the Beginning

John 1:1-17In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.' " For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

Bible Lesson Six
DATE: 12/18/2007 09:46:55 / MOOD: Reflective

Everyone acts in his own interest. Usually, in his own selfish interest. That principle applies to nationsas well as companies, unions and individuals. Among nations there is no such thing as morals only Bible calls it that which is right in your eyes. to find answers to your questions: One of the easiest ways to find the Bible teaching on any givensubject is simply to look up words in a good Concordance such as Strong Concordance. This valuablebook is available at any Bible Book Store at a reasonable price. If we look up the word and look for thephrase in the eyes of or in the eyes of, we find the first reference in Genesis 41:37. (Likewise lookup the sight of had a dream that there would be famine in the land of Egypt. He spoke to Pharaoh suggestingthat corn be put in storage to prepare for this coming famine. Genesis 41:37 reads, the thing wasgood in the eyes of Pharaoh. was acting in his own interest. That does not necessarily make Pharaoh act good or bad. Itdoes illustrate the point that what appears to be in your interest is that which looks good in your eyes.(1) In Deuteronomy 12:8 we have a law. It reads, shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, ___________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________. In the book of Judges; 2:11, 3:7,12, 4:1, 6:1, 10:6,13:1In Judges 17:6 and 21:25 we find verses saying, those days there was no king in Israel, everyman did that which was right in his own eyes. Each person, village or city did whatever was right init own eyes. Occasionally there were disputes. These disputes were settled by a judge. Under this system ofgovernment, a judge would travel through the land to settle various complaints brought before the court.Because both parties were acting in their own interest, there were always two sides. Each was doing whatwas right and good in his own eyes. The court simply made the parties to the dispute do what was right inthe judge eyes. The Kings Of Israel And Judah(Read 1 Kings 11 before continuing.)(3) Saul was the first king. David followed Saul. Upon David death, his son Solomon became king of theUnited Kingdom. Six - Page 2Proverbs 3:1-10(1) My son, forget not my law; but let thineheart keep my commandments: (2) Forlength of days, and long life, and peace, shallthey add to thee. (3) Let not mercy and truthforsake thee: bind them about thy neck;write them upon the table of thine heart: (4)So shalt thou find favour and good understandingin the sight of God and man.(5) Trust in the Lord with all thineheart; and lean not unto thine ownunderstanding. (6) In all thy waysacknowledge him, and he shall direct thypaths. (7) Be not wise in thine own eyes:fear the Lord, and depart from evil. (8) Itshall be health to thy navel, and marrow tothy bones. (9) Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thineincrease: (10) So shall thy barns be filledwith plenty, and thy presses shall burst outwith new wine. The Lord Prayer reads, Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdomcome, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. . . . you are a parent of young children, you have had occasion to give instruction to those children. Youwere trying to their paths. Certainly there was a time when they hesitated to follow your instruction.Perhaps they better and argued with you. To encourage their obedience you may have said, me. you trust Jesus Christ as much as you want your children to trust, or on you? Will you do thewill of your Father in heaven just as you desire your children to do your will? So, the next verse in Proverbs 3, applies to us and our children, not wise in thine own eyes: fearthe Lord and depart from evil. In other words, don do that which is right in your own eyes.Listen to your parents, do what is right in your parents eyes and thereby depart from evil. In Acts 16:31 we are told to on the Lord Jesus Christ. How do we demonstrate our belief in Him?( ) a. We do what is right in His eyes.( ) b. We do that which is right in our eyes.( ) c. We acknowledge Him as our personal savior. In answer to the question, must I do to be saved?, almost everyone has heard a popular preacherpresent a simple three step plan of salvation. Here are theusual three steps:1. Accept Jesus Christ as your savior by making a Christ. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.3. If you accept Jesus as your personal savior, then youwill be again and/or part one of this lesson we saw that believing on Christ has to do with trust, obedience and Bible Law. TheBible has much to say about God. This NewTestament doctrine is actually found all through the OldTestament! Some clergymen do not study the Old Testament, therefore, they do not fully understand this doctrine. Other preachershave been misinformed. There are some who deliberatelydeceive Christians by Humanist The word is one example of a redefined word.To the average person, means, take as true and have religious faith. However, in Acts16:31 means in God as evidenced by doing what is right in His eyes, not doing what is rightin your eyes. and obey, for there is no other way. Six - Page 3Acts 16:26-32(26) And suddenly there was a great earthquake,so that the foundations of the prisonwere shaken: and immediately all the doorswere opened, and every one's bands wereloosed. (27) And the keeper of the prisonawaking out of his sleep, and seeing theprison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposingthat the prisoners had been fled (28) ButPaul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyselfno harm:for we are all here. (29) Then he called for alight, and sprang in, and came trembling, -and fell down before Paul and Silas, (30) Andbrought them out, and said, Sirs, whatmust I do to be saved?(31) And they said, Believe on the LordJesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.(32) And they spake unto him the word of theLord, and to all that were in his house.Lesson Six - Page 4In Lesson Three we directed your attention to The Humanist Manifesto II. Here is Doctrine #1 of thesecond Manifesto.ReligionFirst: In the best sense, religion may inspire dedication tothe highest ethical ideals. The cultivation of moral devotionand creative imagination is an expression of genuine and aspiration. We believe, however, that traditional dogmatic or authoritarianreligions that place revelation. God, ritual, or creedabove human needs and experience do a disservice to thehuman species. Any account of nature should pass the testsof scientific evidence; in our judgment, the dogmas andmyths of traditional religions do not do so. Even at-this latedate in human history, certain elementary facts based uponthe critical use of scientific reason have to be restated. Wefind insufficient evidence for belief in the existence of asupernatural; it is either meaningless or irrelevant to thequestion of the survival and fulfillment of the human race. Asnontheists, we begin with humans not God, nature not deity.Nature may indeed be broader and deeper than we nowknow; any new discoveries, however, will but enlarge ourknowledge of the natural. Some humanists believe we should reinterpret traditionalreligions and reinvest them with meanings appropriate to thecurrent situation. Such redefinitions, however, often perpetuateold dependencies and escapisms; they easily becomeobscurantist, impeding the free use of the intellect. We need, instead, radically new human purposes and goals. We appreciate the need to preserve the best ethical teachingsin the religious traditions of humankind, many of whichwe share in common. But we reject those features of traditionalreligious morality that deny humans a full appreciationof their own potentialities and responsibilities. Traditionalreligions often offer solace to humans, but, as often, theyinhibit humans from helping themselves or experiencingtheir full potentialities. Such institutions, creeds, and ritualsoften impede the will to serve others. Too often traditionalfaiths encourage dependence rather than independence, obedience rather than affirmation, fear rather than courage.More recently they have generated concerned social action, with many signs of relevance appearing in the wake of the"God Is Dead" theologies. But we can discover no divine purposeor providence for the human species. While there ismuch that we do not know, humans are responsible for whatwe are or will become. No deity will save us; we must saveourselves.Code words for Do You Mean By second question, what do you mean by the word Well, the Greek word translated save, i.e., to deliver or protect. This very same Greek word is also translated well and made whole. the Bible there are many examples of salvation. The ultimate salvation at the personal level is thegift of eternal life. Since this salvation is a free gift, it follows that eternal life can not be earned by law keeping, doing good works and so on. However, there are rewards that can be earned and other benefits. Here arethree questions to illustrate this point:(8) What is a gift of God.( ) a. Eternal life. (Romans 6:23)( ) b. Peace, safety and the good life in this world.(Deuteronomy 28:1-14)( ) c. A reward upon His return. (Revelation 11:18 and22:12)(9) What does God make available that can be earned bydoing good works?( ) a. Eternal life (Romans 6:23)( ) b. As you read pay attention to the word Inthis course our emphasis is on national salvation. (God offers both personal and national salvation.) Thebooks of Samuel, Kings and Chronicles are the histories of the governments of Israel and Judah. One of themany examples of national salvation is found in 2 Kings 18 and 19. In 2 Kings 18:3 notice that King Hezekiahwas one of the few kings who did which was right in the sight of the Lord. was a time of trouble because, in times past, the nation did that which was right in their eyes butevil in the sight of the Lord. The northern Kingdom of Israel and most of the southern Kingdom of Judah hadfallen to Assyria. In 2 Kings 18:17, the king of Assyria sent a mighty army against the city of Jerusalem.(11) In 2 Kings 18:30 the king of Assyria messenger warned the people of Judah; saith the king (ofAssyria). Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of (my) hand. Neither letHezekiah make you: ___________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ Saying, the Lord shall surely deliver us, and thiscity shall not be delivered into the hands of the king of Assyria. For salvation from the Assyrian army who was accused of persuading the people to trust the Lord?( ) The king. The message was delivered by Isaiah. It appears that Assyrian spies told the king of Assyria about Isaiah message because in 2 Kings 19:10 thepropaganda war escalates with an answer from the King of Assyria. not the God in whom thou trustest(believe on) deceive you . . . . . . . (31) Hearkennot to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria,Make {an agreement} with me by a present, and comeout to me, and {then} eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one thewaters of his cistern: (32) Until I come and take youaway to a land like your own land, a land of corn andwine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil oliveand of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearkennot unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying,The Lord will deliver us. Or do you understandportions of it, while the rest remains a mystery? You do want to increase your understanding ofthe Bible, do you not? In the next few minutes, I amgoing to give you a key that will unlock the mysteriesof the Bible. The Bible story begins in Genesis1:1. the beginning God created the heavenand the earth. In the rest of chapter 1, we are toldof the creation of the animals and all living creatureson the earth and under the sea.Chapter 2 is of the forming of Adam, placing himin the garden of Eden, of Eve, their disobedience, and removal from the Garden. In a few more pageswe read of the flood, the saving of Noah and hishousehold, and the spreading of their descendantsacross the land.On page 9 of my Bible, we learn of the building ofthe tower of Babel, its destruction, God confoundingof the people language, and their dispersionacross the earth. In only 9 pages. God covers many centuries, includingawesome and terrifying calamities. Then, onpage 10, God speaks to one man, a man namedAbraham, and from this page on, for over a thousandpages, the Bible is about Abraham and his descen -dants.On page 10, in Genesis 12, God says to this man:I will make of thee a great nation, and I willbless thee and make thy name great, and thoushalt be a blessing,And I will bless them that bless thee, andcurse them that curseth thee; and in theeshall all families of the earth be blessed. Then follows a number of meetings between Godand Abraham. God later meets with Abraham son,Isaac, and later with Jacob, the son of Isaac, andrepeats the promises (or covenants) made withAbraham. All of these promises and covenants haveto do with the future of Jacob children. The rest of the Bible deals almost exclusively withthese heirs of the covenants and the promises, calledin the Bible, children of Israel. Law, the doctrines, the warnings, and admonishments, are addressed to Israel. All of the Prophetsare Israelites. All of the writers of both the OldTestament and the New Testaments are Israelites. In Amos 3, God said to Israel, only have Iknown of all the families of the earth . . . . said in Romans 9:4 that the promises and thecovenants pertained to Israel:Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth theadoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service ofGod, and the promises.Abraham, though dead 2,000 years by the time ofChrist, is mentioned 69 times in the New Testament. When Jesus was born, Zacharias said in Luke 1that Jesus had come to remember God covenantand oath which God had sworn to Father Abraham. And his father Zacharias was filled with theHoly Ghost, and prophesied, saying, be the Lord God of Israel; for he hathvisited and redeemed his people! And hath raised up an horn of salvation for usin the house of his servant David; he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: Thatwe should be saved from our enemies, andfrom the hand of all that hate us;To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our fatherAbraham (Luke 1:67-73).Lesson Six - Page 7Before continuing our study of words we need to review a little history. On the next severalpages we have reproduced part of Heirs of the Promise by Pastor Sheldon Emry. We obtained our copy from,Lord's Covenant Church, Box 157, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864. They have other items available. (IncludingHeirs of the Promise on video.) Write for a catalogue.Heirs Of The Promisesby Sheldon EmryIn Acts 3:13, Peter said the Father of Jesus was of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers. the first Christian martyr, began his sermonin Acts 7: God of glory appeared untoour father, Abraham . . . ; and then he preachedof God and Israel.Paul wrote in Romans 15:4, thingswere written aforetime were written for ourlearning . . . let us consider just that today that the Bible isthe Book of God and of Abraham children of oneman family, if you please and that the things writtenof them aforetime were written for our learning. And let us turn to the covenants that God made withAbraham, with Isaac, with Jacob, and with the childrenof Israel. God appeared again to Abraham inGenesis 15:And He brought him forth abroad, and said,Look now toward heaven and tell the stars ifthou be able to number them; And He said untohim, So shall thy seed be.And he believed in the Lord, and He counted itto him for righteousness (Genesis. 15:5,6).This promise of great numbers of descendants isrepeated several times. And Abram fell on his face, and God talkedwith him, saying,As for Me. behold. My covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be. a father of many nations.Neither shall thy name any more be calledAbram, but thy name shall be Abraham: for afather of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and Iwill make nations of thee, and kings shall comeout of thee. And I will establish my covenant between Meand thee and thy seed after thee in their gen -erations for an everlasting covenant, to be aGod unto thee, and thy seed after thee.(Genesis. 17:3-7).And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thywife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, butSarah shall her name be.And I will bless her, and give thee a son also ofher; yea, I will bless her, and she shall be amother of nations; kings of people shall be ofher (Genesis. 17:15,16).Now Abraham already had a son, Ishmael, bySarai Egyptian handmaid, Hagar, but this greatcovenant was not to be made with Ishmael, but withIsaac. This is made plain in verses 19 thru 21:And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee ason indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac;and I will establish my covenant with him foran everlasting covenant, and with his seedafter him.And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold,I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelveprinces shall he beget, and I will make him agreat nation. [These are the 12 Arab nations].But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this settime in the next year (Gen. 17:19-21).Isaac, the son of Promise, was born according toGod Word. Isaac later married Rebekah, and shewas given a blessing in Genesis 24:60:And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, art our sister, be thou the mother ofthousands of millions, and let thy seed possessthe gate of those which hate them. Isaac and Rebekah were born twin sons, Esauand Jacob. Esau, although the elder, sold hisbirthright to Jacob, who then became the rightfulinheritor of these covenants. God appeared to Jacobto confirm these covenants in Genesis 28, includingverse 14:And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earthand thou shalt spread abroad to the west andto the east, and to the north, and to the south;and in thee and in thy seed shall all the familiesof the earth be blessed. These and other verses make it plain that all thecovenants pertaining to Abraham blessings werepassed to Jacob, whose name later was changed toIsrael. In Genesis 35 God appeared again untoJacob.Lesson Six - Page 8And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob; thyname shall not be called any more Jacob, butIsrael shall be thy name; and he called hisname Israel. And God said unto him, I am God Almighty; befruitful and multiply; a nation and a companyof nations shall be of thee, and kings shallcome out of thy loins (Gen. 35:10,11).Again we see this same thing repeated over andover again, that. these descendants of the patriarchsof Israel would be a great number of people andwould become a multitude of nations. While Jacob was yet alive, Joseph was sold intobondage in Egypt. A few years later the other 11 sonsand their families moved to Egypt, where Josephsaved them from the famine. While still in Egypt,Jacob-Israel adopted the two sons of Joseph-Ephraim and Manasseh as his firstborn in place ofReuben and Simeon. This adoption as Israel firstbornis verified in 1 Chronicles 5:1 and 2.In verse 16 of Genesis 48, Israel said,. . . .Let my name be named on them, and thename of my father Abraham and Isaac; and letthem grow into a multitude in the midst of theearth. In verse 19, Jacob prophesied that Ephraim wouldbecome greater than Manasseh and that his seedwould become a fullness of nations. After Joseph death, Israel continued to multiply, but a new king rose up over Egypt, who put the childrenof Israel in cruel bondage. He attempted toreduce Israel by ordering all of the male Israelitebabies killed in Egypt. Moses was saved by his mother, raised in Pharaoh household, but eventuallywas driven from Egypt. We read in Exodus 2:23 thatduring Moses absence...And it came to pass in the process of time, thatthe king of Egypt died; and the children ofIsrael sighed by reason of the bondage, andthey cried, and their cry came up unto God byreason of the bondage. And God heard their groaning, and Godremembered his covenant with Abraham, withIsaac, and with Jacob.God then sent Moses and brought the now 2 millionor more Israelites out of Egypt with great signsand wonders and brought them to Mt. Sinai in thewilderness. There God made a covenant with theseseveral million descendants of Abraham, saying tothem in Exodus 19:5-8:Now therefore if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiartreasure unto me above all people: for allthe earth is mine. And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words whichthou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And Moses came and called for the elders ofthe people, and laid before their faces all thesewords which the Lord commanded him.And all the people answered together and said,All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. AndMoses returned the words of the people untothe Lord.God had said to Abraham, will be a God to youand to your seed after you. That covenant wasformalized with Abraham seed in what we recognizeas a marriage ceremony, with the bridegroomsaying, you obey? and the bride answering, Israel became God wife. That the wife-husbandrelationship is correct is verified in several passages, including Isaiah 54:5-For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord ofhosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the HolyOne of Israel; The God of the whole earth shallhe be called.God gave Israel the Ten Commandments in stoneand several hundred other statutes and judgments, usually called God Law. The first Commandmentbegan,I am the Lord thy God, which have broughtthee out of the land of Egypt, out of the houseof bondage; Thou shalt have no other godsbefore Me.While Israel was in the wilderness learning thestatutes and judgments. God gave further promise offuture greatness. In Deuteronomy 33 He gave a separateblessing to each of the tribes, with the greaterblessing recorded for Joseph in verses 13-17:And of Joseph he said, of the Lord beLesson Six - Page 9his land. For the precious things of heaven, forthe dew, and for the deep that couchethbeneath,And for the precious fruits brought forth bythe sun, and for the precious things put forthby the moon,And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lastinghills,And for the precious things of the earth andfullness thereof, and for the good will of himthat dwelt in the bush; let the blessing comeupon the head of Joseph, and upon the top ofthe head of him that was separated from hisbrethren. This blessing can only mean that the descendantsof Joseph were to have a land blessed with greatagricultural harvests, wealth from the seas, and oresand minerals from the earth. The greatest portion ofthe Israel blessings would he fulfilled in the two sonsof Joseph who had been made the inheritorsof theAbrahamic covenants, as we read in Genesis 48.After 40 years in the wilderness, Moses died, andJoshua brought Israel into Canaanland and establishedthem there as a nation. They had been commandedto observe God statutes and judgmentsand to destroy the Canaanites out of the land, sothey would not be tempted to follow their gods andparticipate in their abominations. This Israel did notdo, and as a consequence, they suffered a series ofcaptivities during the 400 years up to the time ofDavid, as recorded in the book of Judges.David came to the throne in Israel in approximately1050, B.C., and in 40 years of war enlargedand secured Israel as one nation in Canaanland, rulingthem from Zion and Jerusalem. At one point, according to 1 Chronicles 21, David had over onemillion, 500 thousand men under arms, which wouldindicate that God promise of increasing the seed ofAbraham was being fulfilled, with 10 to 15 millionpeople living in Palestine at that time. When David died, his son Solomon ruled for another40 years, establishing an era of peace and prosperityand building the great temple to Jehovah. The Israel kingdom was so blessed it became themarvel of that part of the world. It seemed as if God and prophecies of great increase and materialblessings were being fulfilled. But after Solomon death came a terrible blow. The nation was divided. The 10 northern tribesestablished their capital in Samaria. Jerusalem nowruled only the southern half of Israel. The rivalrybetween the two kingdoms, Judah and Israel, brought wars, corruption, and sin - even worship ofBaal and the other gods of the wicked Canaaniteswho still lived among them. God sent prophets tothem, warning them he would send alien nationsagainst them, who would take them captive intoother lands.God called Israel sin adultery and told herthrough Jeremiah and Hosea that he was divorcingher:And I saw, when for all the causes wherebybacksliding Israel committed adultery, I hadput her away, and given her a bill of divorce.(Jeremiah. 3:8).God said to the northern kingdom in verse 2 of thesecond chapter of Hosea:Plead with your mother, plead; for she is notmy wife, neither am I her husband. The northern house of Israel, therefore, wasdivorced and no longer the wife of Jehovah.God sent Assayer to conquer the northern Israelkingdom. The wars and deportations are recorded in2 Kings, chapters 16, 17 and 18. Here are a few pertinentverses; In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king ofAssayer took Samaria, and carried Israel awayinto Assayer, and placed them in Halah, and inHabor by the river of Gozan, and in the citiesof the Medes. Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight; there wasnone left but the tribe of Judah only. (2 Kings17:6,18).This was bad enough, but the Israelites in theJudah kingdom were also following the corruptedways of the Edomites and Canaanites, so 7 yearslater, we read in 2 Kings 18:13-Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiahdid Sennacherib king of Assayer come upagainst all the fenced cities of Judah, and tookthem.Lesson Six - Page 10This would have left only a small remnant ofIsraelites in the fortified city of Jerusalem by 700B.C.According to both the Bible and ancient historicaccounts, these pagan empires used forcible evacuationas a means of preventing rebellion at a laterdate. They moved non-Israelites into the vacatedland of the northern kingdom, according to 2 Kings17:24And the king of Assayer brought men fromBabylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, andfrom Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, andplaced them in the cities of Samaria instead ofthe children of Israel; and they possessedSamaria, and placed in the cities thereof. So the two conquests of Assyria would haveremoved the vast majority of the Israelites intoAssyria and out of the land of Palestine. The numberremoved would have been in the millions. The prophet Jeremiah continued to prophesy to thetiny remnant in Jerusalem; and in the seventh chapterof Jeremiah, he told these Judahites thatbecause of their sin, God would abandon Jerusalem. Therefore will I do unto this house, which iscalled by my name, wherein ye trust, and untothe place which I gave to you and to yourfathers, as I have done to Shiloh (Jeremiah 7:14).Shiloh was the place of the Ark of the Covenant, which God had turned over into the hands of thePhilistines, because of the sin of Israel. In Kings and Chronicles we have another 100 yearsof the history of the Judah kingdom, a history of con -tinuance of sin, some revivals, but always turningaway from the God of Israel. During that time,Assyria power declined, and she lost control overmuch of her empire, and Babylon grew. TheJudahites remaining at Jerusalem made a peacetreaty with the king of Babylon, and they continuedto sin against the God of Israel. They also tried toenlist the help of Egypt.God sent Jeremiah to tell Judah that Babylonwould conquer them. They planned to resist, butJeremiah told them:And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fightagainst this city, and take it, and burn it withfire. Thus saith the Lord; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely departfrom us; for they shall not depart. For though ye had smitten the whole army ofthe Chaldeans that fight against you, andthere remained but wounded men amongthem, yet should they rise up every man in histent, and burn this city with fire (Jer. 37:8-10).And it came to pass. Jerusalem was destroyed inabout 595 B.C. and the Judahites were taken intoBabylon for the 70-year captivity prophesied byJeremiah. In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understoodby books the number of the years, whereofthe word of the Lord came to Jeremiah theprophet, that he would accomplish seventyyears in the desolations of Jerusalem (Daniel9:2).All seems lost. What has happened to thecovenants? What has become of the great promisesof God?70 years later, Ezra did bring back from Babylon toJerusalem a handful of Judahites to rebuild the cityand the temple. In Ezra 2 that number is given asless than 50,000.The whole congregation together was fortyand two thousand three hundred and threescore,Beside their servants and their maids, ofwhom there were seven thousand three hundredthirty and seven: and there were amongthem two hundred singing men and singingwomen (Ezra 2:64-65).This remnant of Judah and Benjamin provided thesmall Israelite community that existed in Jerusalemat the time Christ was born, 500 years later. But what happened to the other tens of millions ofIsraelites who never returned to Jerusalem? Aretheir descendants lost from the covenant promises ofGod? -We must now ask the same question Paul asked500 years later in Romans 11: God cast awayhis people? Paul answered,God forbid; for I also am an Israelite of theLesson Six - Page 11seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Godhath not cast away His people which Heforeknew. So the question boils down to this: What did happento the millions, yes millions, of Israelites whowere driven out of Palestine 700 years before Christ, and where were they, if they existed at all, at thetime Paul uttered his statement of confidence inGod keeping His promises to Israel? Can we find out what happened to them, so thattheir descendants can be identified in the worldtoday? For an answer to that question, we are going to callupon E. Raymond Capt, a Bible student and Biblicalarchaeologist from California. Mr. Capt has traveledand studied extensively in Europe and the Mideast. He lectures on the Dead Sea Scrolls, on the pyramidsof Egypt and on other archeological subjects. Mr.Capt is the author of The Great Pyramid Decoded,The Glory of the Stars, Stonehenge and Druidism,King Solomon Temple, Jacob Ladder andAbrahamic Covenant. An Interview WithE. RAYMOND CAPTEmry: As a minister, I know there is an abundanceof prophesy concerning the destiny of Israel. Butthere is no Bible history of this portion of Israelreferred to in 2 Kings 17:6-In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyriatook Samaria and carried Israel away intoAssyria, and placed them in Halah, and inHabor by the river of Gozan, and in the citiesof the Medes. So Bible history of this major part of Israel endshere. And yet the prophets and the New Testamentpromise an increase in numbers, great blessings, and an eventual restoration. With the passing of 2,500 years since this Assyriancaptivity, one might think that all hope of tracingthese Israelites is lost. Ray, can archeology answerthis question?Capt: Yes, Pastor Emry, it has. During the last hundredyears a number of archeological teams havebeen working in the Middle East. They haveunearthed and published the original accounts of . .. . . Where is Israel today? To be continued in Lesson 7Lesson Six - Page 12A Study Into The Meaning Of The Word As Used In The BibleMoses discusses several topics in the Book of Deuteronomy that can not be properly understood withouta correct and accurate knowledge of several words. A major key to Bible understanding has to do with thewords and Part two of this lesson deals with the definition of the word Jew. It isgenerally understood that:1.Jesus was a Jew.2.The Bible is a Jewish Book.3.The Bible is the history of the Jews.4.Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were Jews.5.All the prophets were Jews.6.The Jews are God people. we don bless the Jews, God will curse us.8.The Jews rejected Christ. As a result, the gospel was preached to the Gentiles. The Gentiles accepted Christ, whereas the Jews still reject Him.An example of this teaching and understanding is found in the September 24, 1979 edition of U.S. NewsAnd World Report. On page 41, Evangelist Jerry Falwell is quoted as saying, promise to Abraham wasthat He would bless those that blessed the Jews. So, we have His promise that, as long as we (America)uphold Israel, He will uphold us. explain the words and is somewhat like explaining confusion, so pleasebe patient with us. If the material hereafter is new to you then you will most definitely find good news inLesson Seven!Let begin our study with a few definitions. Down through the ages the word has had several differentmeanings. These can include Jew by race, Jew by tribe, Jew by religion and Jew by nationality. Somedefinitions are relevant today, some are not. Here are several definitions of the word Definition #1 - Jew: A descendent of Judah, the son of Jacob of the House of Israel.By this definition, was Jesus a Jew? (Tribe) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ( ) Yes. ( ) No.(16) Definition #2 - Jew: A citizen of the land of Judea.By this definition, was Jesus a Jew? ( ) No.It must be clarified at this point that the term may refer to (1) the racial descendants ofAbraham through Isaac and Jacob and (2) the people of the House of Israel comprising the Kingdom of Israel. That would make the people of the Kingdom of Judah Israelites by race, but not Israelites by nationality. For example, In England there are many Blacks. If these Blacks are British citizens, then they areEnglishmen by nationality. But, they are not Englishmen by race.(25) Earlier we quoted Jerry Falwell saying, promise to Abraham was that He would bless those thatblessed the Jews. Falwell was referring to Genesis 12:3 which reads, I will bless them that bless thee, and will curse them that curse thee: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Jesus asked this woman for a drinkof water and in verse 21 we read, saith unto her, woman, believe Me, the hour cometh, when ye shallneither in this mountain, nor yet in Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we knowwhat we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 1:16: I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation toeveryone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also the Greek. 5:1-20: This is the story of the impotent man that was healed at the pool of Bethesda on the Sabbathday. Notice these verses containing the word Jews: (Verse 1) this there was a feast of the Jews; andJesus went up to Jerusalem. (Verse 10) Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, it is the Sabbathday: it is not lawful to carry thy bed. (Verse 15 & 16) man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which made him whole. And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay Him, because He haddone these things on the Sabbath day. (Verse 18) the Jews sought the more to kill Him . . . . . 7:1: these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for He would not walk in Jewry, because the Jewssought to kill Him. These scriptures seem to tell a contrasting story:a. Jesus is the King of the ___ ___ ___ ___ .b. Salvation is of the ___ ___ ___ ___ .c. ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ came to the ___ ___ ___ first.Lesson Six - Page 16Romans 11:1-2(1) I say then, Hath God cast away his people? Wot ye notwhat the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercessionto God against Israel, saying,Acts 22:25-30(25) And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said untothe centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you toscourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?(26) When the centurion heard {that}, he went and toldthe chief captain, saying, Take heed what thou doest:for this man is a Roman. And Paul said, ButI was {free} born. (29) Then straightway they departedfrom him which should have examined him: and thechief captain also was afraid, after he knew that hewas a Roman, and because he had bound him. Because Hewas born in Judea, He is sometimes called a _________________ (By street address not race) Because Christwas a descendant of Judah; He is sometimes called a ___ ___ ___ . Jesus Christ was born in Judea, but laterin life he lived in Galilee. Therefore, during His ministry, He was a G ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___not a Judean. The Word 23:3-5: Pilate asked Him, saying, Art thou King of the Jews? And He answered him and said, Thousayest it. Then Pilate said to the chief priests and unto the people, I find no fault in this man. And they wereall the more fierce, saying, He stireth up the people, Teaching throughout all Jewry. (The word translated in this verse is the very same word translated in Matthew 2:1.John 7:1-3: (1) these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for He could not walk in Jewry, Because the Jewssought to kill Him. (2) Now the Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. (3) His brethren therefore said unto Him,Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples may also see the works that thou doest. Substituting the words (race) or (nationality) for the word more correctly render the proper meaning of the original Greek. Some Judeans were converted andbecame Christians. Bible Lesson Five

Many parts of the Bible seem to be written with blank spaces. For example, in Matthew 18:20 we read, where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them. The unaskedquestion is, who are the or three? Two or three Christians? Two or three disciples? Two or threeApostles? Two or three clergymen? The only way to fill in the space is to study the verses before, afteror somewhere else. two or three (what?) are gathered in My name . . . . In your opinion, what word belongs in the blank space?__________________________________________In Matthew 5:17 Christ said, not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I came notto destroy, but to fulfill. Exactly what Christ came to destroy or to fulfill is unclear. Most say, came tofulfill the Law. Others say, so, He came to fulfill the Prophets. Many conclude that the Lawdid away with the Law. Here are verses 17 and 18 with the blank spaces:[17] not that I come to destroy the law, or destroy the prophets: I came not todestroy what? but to fulfill what: . verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall in no wisepass from the law, till all what? be fulfilled about what ? . Luke 24:44 we can find light upon this question. There Jesus Christ referred to His words recordedin Matthew 5:17-18, He said unto them, these are the words which I spoke unto you (a few years ago inMatthew 5:17) while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law ofMoses, in the Prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning Me. God's law.$ Bible Law On Money $One of the easiest and best ways to study a Bible subject is simply to look up a key word in a good concordancesuch as Strong Many of the lessons in this course were written that way. In this case, to see whatGod has to say, we will look for the words and The first thing we might notice isthat the word is not in the Bible. The word is found nineteen times in the Old Testamentand two times in the New Testament. The word is found only one time. But first, what does the wordmean, what is Here are the definitions of the Hebrew words translated as found in the dictionaryof Strong Concordance:In the Old Testament Hebrew:5377 (nasha) to lead astray, i.e., (mentally) to delude, or (morally) seduce. Many of us do every day in our occupations. However, when it isbrought to our attention, what are we to do? The answer is in Ezekiel 18:19-32.(52) In Nehemiah 5 we found out that usurers that do not repent by off this usury and making restitutionare to be out. What does out mean in terms of a penalty for the crime of usury?(Ezekiel 18:13)_____________________________________________________________________ _______________________Lesson Five - Page 6From the time of Christ until the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, the vast majority ofProtestant and Catholic churches forbid interest on money. (The Church and Usury by Rev. Patric Cleary. This is a reprint of a book written in 1914.)Today, most churches are in debt to a bank and the clergy teach that Matthew 25:27 and Luke 19:23 Jesus Christ approved of usury. In Lesson 13, Doctrine And God's Law, we will see that, in Matthew25:27 and Luke 19:23, Jesus Christ called usury theft. tuned for Lesson 13.Think for a moment: Let's assume that your family owns a very large corporation. After 200 years ofhard work the company has been built up into a firm producing two-thirds of the world goods and serviceswith a very small percentage of the world work force. However, about 76 years ago you took on a bookkeepingfirm. Then in 1984, you found that, to run your business, you had to borrow all your money from the bookkeeper!Your business was broke, many of your employees were laid off and they were also over their headsin debt to the bookkeeper. The bookkeeper is wealthy. (1980-84 was almost a depression. Many businessesclosed and many lost homes, jobs etc. . . .)Well, the corporation is the United States of America and the bookkeeper is the privately owned FederalReserve Banking System that Congress allowed to be set up in 1913. (Approximately 25% of our Congressmenare officers of banks.)Doesn't it seem odd that the wealthiest, most productive nation on earth is in unpayable debt at thenational, state, local, business and personal levels? We are told that the villain is tellus that inflation is caused by much money chasing too few goods. Who do you know that has too muchmoney? What merchant has too few goods?Other blame inflation on the government. These tell us that our government is spendingtoo much money. That government must reduce spending and cut services (so it can pay interest on thenational debt?) Other experts tell us that unions are too greedy and the workers should work harder andaccept lower wages. Experts tell us that businessmen are not managing their firms well enough, and if theydid, they could lower prices. These same experts tell us that in order to help the economy and reduce inflation, the friendly bankers must RAISE the price they charge for credit by RAISING the interest rate. may place the blame in many places but they never blame the banking system based uponusury that we Christians permit to exist in our Christian land with the blessing of our clergymen. When solutionsare offered, obedience to God's Law is never suggested. And with a so called of church andstate, God solution can not even be considered! Humanists and Liberals would accuse you of yourreligious beliefs on others. Liberty Bell points the way to the Bible solution to our problem of debt bondage to the banker. TheChristian writing on our nation's Liberty Bell is from Leviticus 25:10, . . . . ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, andProclaim Liberty Throughout All The LandTo All The Inhabitants ThereofHow does a nation proclaim liberty? God's Law calls for the cancellation of debt every seven years. Everyfifty years lost or foreclosed real estate is to be returned to the original owner or his heir. The applicable versesare Leviticus 25:8-34 and Deuteronomy 15:1-6.The Jubilee: Everyone has heard the term In a modern dictionary you will find this definition.Lesson Five - Page 7Jubilee (1966): 1. A celebration of an anniversary, especially of a 50th or 25th anniversary. 2. A timeor condition of great joy. Now, from an 1828 dictionary we find this definition,Jubilee (1828): To shout for joy. From a Hebrew word meaning, the blast of a trumpet, coinciding withthe English word (of a bell). In the Bible, every 50th year, being the year following the revolution ofseven weeks of years, at which time all the slaves were liberated, and all lands which had been alienated duringthe whole period, reverted to their former owners. This is a time of great rejoicing. Hence, A season ofgreat public joy and festivity. From the modern 1966 definition you might never discover any Bible connection. One of the many waysthe wicked use to change Christian thinking is simply to change the definition of key words. The Jubilee in Jeremiah 34In 1 Corinthians 10:11 Paul said, all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they arewritten for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (KJV)The Bible is about government and God's Law. It contains examples for us. With this in mind considerJeremiah 34. In Jeremiah 34:9-10 we are told of a covenant between the king and the people. In verse 11 theLesson Five - Page 8leaders went back on their word. In verses 11-13 Godreminds the government of His law and has Jeremiah tellthem of their sin. In verses 13 and 14 God reminds them ofa commandment that they were given when they came outof Egypt. In verses 17-22 God describes the punishment thathe will bring upon them for breaking the covenant with himand for breaking the covenant between the government andthe people. Now before continuing read Jeremiah 34:8-22.The commandment that they broke is found inLeviticus 25:8-10.(8) And thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years untothee, seven times seven years; and the space of the sevenSabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. (9)Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound onthe tenth {day} of the seventh month, in the day of atonementshall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all yourland. (10) And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaimliberty throughout {all} the land unto all the inhabitantsthereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall returnevery man unto his possession, and ye shall return everyman unto his family."The Jubilee celebration was to last a whole year. Therewas also the seven year release. In Deuteronomy 15:1,2 weread, At the end of {every} seven years thou shalt makea release. (2) And this {is} the manner of the release: Everycreditor that lendeth {ought} unto his neighbor shall release{it}; he shall not exact {it} of his neighbor, or of his brother;because it is called the Lord's release. Jubilee and seventh year release are for the purposeof ending poverty. They cancel all debt and return lostreal estate (the family farm) to the original owners. We aretold in verse 6 that God will bless us if we follow His commandmentsand we shall rule over many nations."For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promisedthee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, butthou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign overmany nations, but they shall not reign over thee. 15:6(KJV)Here is a promise that other nations will not reign over us if we obey His laws. One law calls for the cancellationof all debt at the end of seven years. A blessing in the form of a major release each fifty years and aminor release every seven years. The banker's way is to lend money to poor people at interest. Many cannotpay back. Whether they can pay back or not, because of interest, they wind up poorer than before. This eventuallyputs the whole nation in debt. During depressions and recessions bankers take ownership of farms andbusinesses through foreclosure. The national debt is left to the children and grand-children to pay as the debtis never cancelled. (When in rebellion to God's law we are cursed with a depression every fifty years and arecession every seven years.) In Jeremiah 34:11 the leaders of Judah who went back on the promises theymade to the people in verses 8-10. We have this very same thing happening in America today. At election timepoliticians make promises such as, to reduce taxes, or to increase the standard of living. They promise thepeople what they would have gotten if they had obeyed God's law in the first place. As in Jeremiah 34:15, theLesson Five - Page 9Jeremiah 34:8-22 KJV(8) {This is} the word that came untoJeremiah from the Lord, after that the kingZedekiah had made a covenant with all thepeople which {were} at Jerusalem, to proclaimliberty unto them;(9) That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, {being}an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that noneshould serve himself of them, {to wit}, of a Jewhis brother.(10) Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them anymore, then they obeyed, and let {them} go.(11) But afterward they turned, and causedthe servants and the handmaids, whom theyhad let go free, to return, and brought theminto subjection for servants and for handmaids.(12) Therefore the word of the Lord came toJeremiah from the Lord, saying,(13) Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Imade a covenant with your fathers in the daythat I brought them forth out of the land ofEgypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,(14) At the end of seven years let ye go everyman his brother an Hebrew, which hath beensold unto thee; and when he hath served theesix years, thou shalt let him go free from thee:but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neitherinclined their ear.(15) And ye were now turned, and had doneright in my sight, in proclaiming liberty everyman to his neighbor; and ye had made acovenant before me in the house which iscalled by my name:(16) But ye turned and polluted my name, andcaused every man his servant, and every manhis handmaid, whom ye had set at liberty attheir pleasure, to return, and brought theminto subjection, to be unto you for servants andfor handmaids.Continued on the next page.politicians do the very same thing today as the leaders of the Judah kingdom in Jeremiah's time. They breaktheir covenant. ( my lips - no new taxes. rulers have put us in bondage. One bondage is the national debt. And there is hardly one ministerin ten thousand that will tell you what is happening and why. One person wrote to a prominent radio preacherto ask a question. He asked the preacher what he thought of the present economic system. He respondedand said in effect, to be sure not to go over your head in debt and make sure you pay back what you borrowed. He did not say that the charging of interest is wrong. He did not say that the banking system is wrong. Inshort he sided with and supported the present economic system. Some people know that when you pay off a mortgage you are paying for three homes; one for yourselfand two for the banker. The Banker does no work. He has very little invested, and has little risks. The banksand other financial institutions could not do whatthey do if the general public was not kept in ignorance of God's Law and in ignorance of how thebanking/money system works. (The banking system is explained in Lesson Nine.) It would not be possible ifthe preacher did not side with the banker.Jeremiah 34:16 accuses the priests of polluting God'sname. We call ourselves Bible believing Christians and thendo not follow His commandments. In the eyes of the unbelieverit makes God look bad. Therefore, polluting His name.In Isaiah 52:5 we read, . . . name is continuallyblasphemed all day long. The very fact that we Christiansturn from God's law or say that His law is wrong is blasphemy.Again, take a very well known preacher in ananswer to a person who wrote to ask about capital punishment. He said while it was true that the Bible calls for capitolpunishment for murder or rape, no one in their rightmind would think of doing this today. What he is saying isthat God is not in His right mind!God has a way to bring our sins on our own heads. If wewill not proclaim liberty in the seventh and fiftieth yearthen he has the bankers bring upon us a seventh year recessionand a fiftieth year depression. Finally, if we continue torebel, then the Bible principle of Jeremiah 34:17 applies. Ifwe do not proclaim liberty, economic law, then God will giveus liberty of the sword, pestilence and famine.Lesson Five - Page 10While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man isovercome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (2 Peter 2:19)Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive with them. (Proverbs 28:4)And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things whichI say? (Luke 6:46)For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob arenot consumed. (Malachi 3:6)Jeremiah 34:17-22 KJV(17) Therefore thus saith the Lord; Ye havenot hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to hisneighbor: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to beremoved into all the kingdoms of the earth.(18) And I will give the men that have transgressedmy covenant, which have not performedthe words of the covenant which theyhad made before me, when they cut the calf intwain, and passed between the parts thereof,(19) The princes of Judah, and the princes ofJerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, andall the people of the land, which passedbetween the parts of the calf;(20) I will even give them into the hand oftheir enemies, and into the hand of them thatseek their life: and their dead bodies shall befor meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and tothe beasts of the earth.(21) And Zedekiah king of Judah and hisprinces will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek theirlife, and into the hand of the king of Babylon'sarmy, which are gone up from you.(22) Behold, I will command, saith the Lord, and cause them to return to this city; and theyshall fight against it, and take it, and burn itwith fire: and I will make the cities of Judah adesolation without an inhabitant. In verses 19 - 22 God spoke to those leaders who covenanted to obey His law and didn He said thatBabylon would slay them. In Jeremiah 34:19-21 God said those who will be slain will be the leaders who madea covenant but went back on their word. The same leaders who lead Israel into sin. The side of thecoin is this. Not everyone was to be slain. God protects his own. Others would be taken captive and this weknow to be the case in the past. There is a comparison here for us. A comparison between ancient Babylon and the modern Communists.Ancient Babylon invaded Israel and killed the wicked in positions of leadership. That is history.Recent history proves that, when the Communists take over, certain classes of people and professionsare exterminated. Political leaders, clergy, intellectuals, doctors, lawyers, teachers, judges, bankers and leadingbusinessmen. If the communists come against Christian America will they be an instrument in God hands to kill traitors, false prophets and those who put Christian America in bondage? Think of all the ills in America andwhere they come from. What profession and class of people do they come from? The clergy who teach God's Law is done away and usury is approved by Jesus Christ. The judges wholet criminals out on the street. The lawyer who fights to get the criminal released on a technicality. Thebankers who rob widows and orphans. The big businessmen who hire illegal aliens, de-industrialize Americaand trade with anti-Christ nations. The professors who teach our children that there is no God, humanism, and situation ethics. The doctors who have aborted over eighteen million of our children. the Lord said to him, through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, andput a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committedin it's midst. (Ezekiel 9:4)There is a great host of people who sigh and cry because of all the abominations that are done inAmerica. They do not like the sin and corruption they see and may not realize why it is being done. As youread in Ezekiel 9;4 those who did get the mark of God were not slain. Only the corrupting people in Israel areslain. This is also what God said in Jeremiah 34.19-21. the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylonalso slew all the nobles of Judah. (Jeremiah 39:6)In chapter 38, Jeremiah was thrown in prison. He was released after Babylon captured Jerusalem. Manyof our patriots who are now in prison, or may soon be in prison. Right in the midst of battle God saved thosein Israel who were opposed to the corruption. He used the enemies of Israel to punish the wicked. Thy Will Be DoneEveryone has heard the words of The Lord Prayer. Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thyname, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. . . . Matthew 12:50, 21:31 John 5:30, 6:38 and other places, Jesus Christ said that He came to do the willof His Father who sent Him.In Strong Concordance, the word translated in these verses is word #2307. Here is the definitionof the Greek word translated or choice, specifically a purpose or decree. Also an inclination. Translated desire, pleasureand will.In Webster Dictionary, part of the long definition of the word includes, wished bya person, especially by one with power and authority; specifically, (a) a request; as it is his will thatyou appear; (b) a command; decree; as, will be done. part of the definition in Webster we find a scripture quotation will be done. Notice thatWebster says, will be done is a command. You may wish to perform an experiment. Approach any of your friends and mention any one of God He will usually respond one of several ways:A. I don see why I should have to (repetition of what you just said); all (reasons whyhis way is better).B. that done away. You see. My minister said, under the of love that what God wants, that good enough for me. Which of these attitudes reflects Jesus Christ prayer will be done ) A. ( ) B. ( ) C.Our experience reveals that people with attitudes and will not even consider God point of view oreven consider that He has a point of view. If they, for some reason, request sample Bible lessons, well, theyjust throw them away. With few exceptions, only people with attitude continue with this course. If peoplewith attitudes and do continue this course, it is usually from an argumentative point of view. So, forthose few of you who care to know the will of your Father, we continue with:Moses Speech ContinuedA Review Of God Law With Warnings And Exhortations(Read Deuteronomy Chapter Five Before Continuing.)(2) In verse 1 of Deuteronomy 5, Moses said, O Israel, the statutes (laws) and judgements (punishmentsto be applied for breaking these laws) which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may:a. __ __ __ __ __ them, b. and __ __ __ __ , c. and __ __ them. Four - Page 1The Ten CommandmentsBible Law CourseMoses Second Speech - Bible Law On Divorce & RemarriageIn Deuteronomy 5:6-21 Moses repeated the Ten Commandments. They were given at Mt. Sinai 40 yearsearlier. This is recorded in Exodus 20. Consider this, (1) given the natural state of man, (2) what we knowabout the carnal mind and (3) man tendency to wickedness, do you think a few verses in either Deuteronomy5 or Exodus 20 are or should be all of God law? The average Bible is about 700 pages. The in Exodus20 and repeated in Deuteronomy 5 is about a half of a page. That is 1/10 of 1% of your Bible. So, to rephrasethe question, because the Ten Commandments alone do not list punishments or penalties for disobedience,do you think there should be any additional instruction for disobedience? Do you think that the remaining99.9% of the Bible may contain an explanation of the basic ten commandments?Do you think it would make good sense for a father to command a son, are not to steal any toys fromyour brother or from the neighbor children, and then not enforce any punishment upon the child if he didsteal the toys? How about a city passing an ordinance which reads, shalt not speed on city streets. Dothey post the law around a few places, retire all the traffic officers, and provide no form of punishment forviolating the law shalt not speed on city streets. If the father or the city were to do that, give the law, then provide no punishment for violation of the law, you would probably say they were rather stupid.Well, what opinion do you have of God if that is what you think God did, i.e; wrote laws but made no provisionfor their enforcement and no provision for penalties when violated? Many Christians answer islove. He is not a vengeful God. He has given us these commandments as guidelines. If we love Him we willobey them, however, we have no authority to judge any who might break them. Some would go so far as toinsist that all we can do about those who violate God laws is to warn them of hell and let it go at that. But,when the murderer victim is a son or a loved one, even modernist church-goers sometimes come out in favorof punishment for the criminal.Let look at some of the commandments; Then look at other verses related to these commandments. Bothwere given to the same people at the same time. Then we will see that God is as wise as city councilmen whopass laws against speeding and then provide for fines or other punishment for violation. The sixth commandmentis shalt not kill. What does God say should be done to someone who does kill? The answeris inthe next chapter, Exodus 21:12 &14, that smitest a man so that he die shall be surely put to death. , man come presumptuously upon his neighbor to slay him with guile, thou shalt take him from my altar, that he may die. is quite plain. Murderers are to be put to death. There are three parts to a law. Both man law andGod law consists of these same three parts. The three parts are necessary, otherwise you end up with anincomplete law. As we list these three parts you will see that the basic ten commands are obviously not all ofGod law. The Ten Commandments are incomplete in themselves. To be complete laws they must have thetwo other parts. The three parts are, as listed in the Bible many times, (1) the laws, (2) the statutes, and (3)the judgements.(1). The law is the command. The simple statement, shalt do such and so or shalt not do such and so. The statute defines a violation of the commandment.(3). The judgement is the punishment or penalty to be enforced upon the law breaker.(1) The Law. shalt not kill is the law. But, what act is a violation of that law?(2) The statute. One statute describing a violation of that law is Exodus 21:12, thatsmitest a man so that he die shall be surely put to death. Another statute is found inverse 14, a man come presumptuously upon his neighbor to slay him with guile, verses define murder.(3) The Judgement. The punishment to be enforced is, shalt be surely put to death orLesson Four - Page 2 shalt take him from my altar (the court), that he may die. recognizes that, in some cases, a man may be killed and it is not a violation of the commandment, shalt not kill. For example Exodus 21:13 describes accidental death. In this verse the man caused adeath but he is not to be executed. Accidental death may call for a lesser punishment or no punishment at alldepending upon the circumstances.God law is not just Ten Commandments. It includes pages and pages of statutes and judgements.A large part of Lesson Three was an explanation of the statutes and judgements under the commandment, shalt not commit adultery. In this and other lessons we will see that, in today churches, this commandmentis completely mistaught. The word is from a Hebrew word that means, towater down or to mix a pure substance with a foreign substance. In a human sense it forbids inter-racialmarriage. We still use the word correctly when we talk about adulterated food. Today, in relation to people, the meaning of the word has been completely changed. It is used almost exclusively as if it meant, shalt not take another man wife. Actually the command not to take another man wife is not foundin this commandment but in the commandment, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor wife. Two began a study of usury. The commandment is shalt not steal. The statutes defineusury as theft. Kidnapping is also defined by the statute as theft. The judgement, penalty or punishment fortheft by usury or theft by man-stealing will be studied in a later lesson. The Ten Commandments standing alone with no statutes and judgements are not enough for man. Godknew that when He gave them. That is why he also gave pages and pages of explanation in the form ofstatutes and judgements. Most are totally unknown and unstudied in the modern church. When we speak ofthe whole law of God we must of necessity understand the laws, statutes and judgements which constitutethe whole law of God. Like the city council law, shalt not speed on city streets. Alone the law is useless. It will bring order to city streets only if the law is made whole by including a statute to define speedingand a judgement to establish a punishment for violation. In most books you will find a Preface and Introduction. A Table of Contents. Then the text of the book. Atthe end of the book the Appendices and Index. Many Christians think that they understand God Law because they know the Ten Commandments. But, in reality, that is no more true than saying that you understand a book just because you understand theTable of Contents. To understand the whole book you must understand each chapter. In The Book ofDeuteronomy, Chapters 1-4 are the Preface and Introduction. Chapter 5:6-21 contain The TenCommandments and compare to a book Table of Contents. The following chapters, 6 -28, contain thestatutes and judgements explaining the Ten Commandments. This is the text. Finally, in chapters 29- 33, Moses added a few Appendices.(3) In Deuteronomy five, what is the first commandment?Thou ___________________________________________________________________________ ______(4) In verse 9 He says that if we down unto graven images then;( ) a. We are using a visual representation to help us worship God.( ) b. We hate Him.Deuteronomy 5:11 reads, shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. In thousandsof places throughout the Old and New Testaments, the translators replaced the Hebrew name withthe title Lord. (In the past, the translators felt, the best way to avoid taking God name in vain was notto use it at all. Therefore, they replaced with Lord. Today some people are trying to redo theBible by replacing words such as and son with and child. So, in almost every occasionin the Bible, when you see the title Lord, undo the translator error by reading the name For example, in the King James Bible, Isaiah 42:8 is translated, am the Lord, that is MyLesson Four - Page 3name. This is one of the many verses where the name Yahweh was replaced with the title Lord. A morecorrect translation is, am (Yahweh), that is My name. In seven places the translators did not use One example is Psalms 83:18.(5) In the King James Translation, according to Isaiah 42:8,what is God name?I am the __ __ __ __ that is My name.(6) The name of the President of the United States is;( ) a. Mr. President. ( ) b. George W. Bush.(7) Is President a name or title?( ) Title ( ) Name(8) Likewise, is Lord a name or title?( ) Title ( ) Name(9) In Deuteronomy 7:24 we find a command about certainwicked kings. We are to destroy their name from under heaven. At Christmas time you have seen the word Have you wondered why? The wicked work constantlyto remove Christ, Christianity, then Christians from asociety. They (not Christians) have removed prayer from schools. They (not we) have been successful at placingthe names of other gods in our society. For example, our intercontinental ballistic missiles are namedThor and Atlas. Our mission to the moon was named after the god Apollo. A major Christian holiday is namedafter Ishtar (pronounced their goddess of sex. See in any dictionary or encyclopedia.(10) What are the wicked doing to the name of our King?( ) a. They praise His name. ( ) b. They are attempting to destroy Hisname.Lesson Four - Page 4ISAIAH CHAPTER 42(5) Thus saith the El Yahweh, He that createdthe heavens, and stretched them out;He that spread forth the earth, and thatwhich cometh out of it; He that givethbreath unto the people upon it, and spirit tothem that walk therein:(6) I Yahweh have called Thee in righteousness, and will hold Thine hand, and willkeep Thee, and give Thee for a covenant ofthe people, for a light of the nations;(7) To open the blind eyes, to bring out theprisoners from the prison, and them thatsit in darkness out of the prison-
