I recently posted this as a poll, but thought that I would ask what people really feel about this subject. As currently, we attend a local Baptist church in the town in which we live. The Pastor is great, the church is very traditional, with Hymns and such. We used to go to a Calvary Chapel which is contemporary. Even though the church(the Baptist one I memtioned) is growing, the majority are older generation, not that there is anything wrong with that. But we have noticed that there aren't a lot of new younger church goers there. I know that alot of today's youth are more in-tune with the today's music and the not-your-ordinary-bible teachings. I think that in order to really make a church grow that they should offer some type of contemporary service etc. to bring the younger generations in, because sooner or later the older generations aren't going to be there anymore. Not to say that they should go completely Contemp but offer some of both. I am interested in what opinions people have on this.
