I will always feel that being a mother is my first ministry, if you will. Teaching my children is a never ending job, no matter how old they are. Even though they are now old enough where they don't really want to hear what I have to say, I know they are still listening, just like they did when they were children. If I taught them to love God with all their hearts, then I feel like I have done a good job. After all, I know my first born is in heaven and I want all my family there!

Well, since I do a lot of crocheting, my need is yarn. Right now, I'm part of a group that crochets 6 x 9 rectangles which are then crocheted together to make blankets for our wounded soldiers. If you'd like to see pictures of the blankets you can go to http://www.rectangle6x9.org/

I'm with the Christian Motorcyclists Association

I've been married for 30 years; have three children. My first born daughter, Katrina, passed away at age 12 from a genetic disease called cystic fibrosis. My husband and I are both carriers, but didn't know it. We have a son who is currently in Iraq on his second deployment and who is also one of our county's finest, and we have a younger daughter who is one class away from getting her A.A. Degree; she is also working a great full time job which she loves.

When I was younger, I used to have a lot of passions. I feel I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none!

Crocheting for charities, reading, writing and, of course, riding my motorcycle!

I really enjoy reading about other people's lives. It amazes me how we all live on one planet but view life so differently. I like biographies, Christian fiction and other types of Christian books.

Mostly worship, but kinda like upbeat Christian songs, too.

Jesus of Nazareth, It's a Wonderful Life, RV, Wild Hogs, Gone With the Wind

It's been sixteen years since the death of my daughter. But a few days before she died she asked me why people throw babies in trash cans. I really couldn't give her an answer. She wanted to know why people smoke. She asked this question because cystic fibrosis clogs the lungs with thick mucus and cf people can't breath, so Katrina asked this question trying to figure out why people, with healthy lungs would want to mess them up when others, like herself struggled with every breath she took. I have always wanted to do something in memory of Katrina, but I have never come up with a good idea. It's hard when you lose a child; you lose the future, the 'what would life have been like'; I just hope that I can put my finger on something that would be ideal for her memory.
