Firstly, this isn’t the girls’ fault why they had entered prostitution; even though how much people would say they could stop, how can someone stop this kind of work when they are forced by the factors such as hunger, rejection, and poverty.   Majority of these cases are caused by family problems, big financial problems in the family urged young women to enter this kind of molestation.                   Just like a girl named Jessica I saw on the news in the television, she was only 17 and was working at a night club after her classes. Her father was an elisa kit manufacturer and wasn’t earning that much; they’re mother already passed away after giving birth to their eighth brother. With the passion to finish college, she was forced to have a job during night time and study during the day. But she was earning not enough for her seven other siblings, until one day a friend offered her a job on a night club, offering high salary with just serving customers. With the prospect of money, Jessica immediately agreed and applied that day. The manager liked her and hired her at once, and the other night, she was forced to wear seductive short clothes and experienced in an instant how the customers lay their hands on some of the private parts of her body.                   With just only one night, she earned P 8, 000.000 pesos and decided to endure the bad sides of her work. Night after night, customers forced her to sit with them and they were always touching her awkwardly. When she confided it to the friend who referred her to the job, she only told her to deal with it, endure and she’ll earn even higher than she was currently earning. Jessica found out that her friend was earning almost 30 thousand pesos in one night, but with such a grave bargain. Her friend sells her body for money, and Jessica was tempted with the large amount she could earn every night. Not for long, she had also entered the world of prostitution. Night after night, she had been being used by different men in all ages, and was earning more than she had expected.                   But when time passed, she wanted to escape the world she was in and confessed to her father about her real job at night. Helplessly, her father didn’t know what to do. He wanted to be angry to his daughter but felt pity for what she was going through just to keep their family alive and well. Jessica stopped working after that but it was too late, she was infected with the HIV Virus (AIDS) and was beyond recovering. After 11 months, Jessica passed away at a public hospital with her family around her hospital bed.                   This is actually a reality check for everyone, especially for the parents who are expecting financial problems right now. Though we are stressed out with the situation, we still have our obligations to our children, despite being busy with work, we still need to take care of them and keep up with their lives. It is the parents’ responsibility for their children to have normal and peaceful lives as they grow up and until they are ready to separate themselves from the family. It is not very nice for children to experience things like prostitution at a very young age. It causes trauma, low self-esteem and self-pity. We all need to be responsible; children needs to study and doesn’t have to work very early, or doesn’t have to work in such a disgraceful job. To those who patronize prostitution, we hope that you know what you are doing and that there’s still a tinge of conscience within yourselves. Using a woman isn’t about for such a brief time; you can ruin an entire life with just one night.                   Everyone hopes that this kind of molestation would soon stop and that every minor who undergoes such experience would be free and live a new life. It’s not too late…it’s never too late; we can do something about it, starting by paying attention to your children and family. Love is always the answer and it will prevail among the darkest moments on anyone’s life.
