Title: Honor
Category: Reflective
Blog Entry: Ruth 2:11-12 Boaz replied, "I've been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."
When we honor our elders we are lined up to receive the blessings from God. Yesterday my great aunt passed away, she had lived a long hard life. She had lived to the ripe age of 100 years old. I know she had honored her elders, she had fulfilled her role as daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and even the role of great grandmother. We all have the same opportunity to show honor to our elders. “May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” Have blessed day and remember that honoring your elders could be as simple as listening to them.
