Title: Three foundations of God and Man
Category: Edifying
Blog Entry: Well here is something not as new but I thought to up it a little more. I have been writing and speaking inspirationally for many years. I do it with friends, students, and just anyone that needs to be encouraged. That is what we are called to do as Christians to consistently "uplift" the brethren. [br] There is a place in the bible where Jesus says to the disciples "Come and dine." What does this mean? The background behind "come and dine" comes from and ends three different foundations that I believe God opened relationship unto his people throughout the entire bible unto the lifestyle of those who are in the power of the living God and the kingdom of which never dies.  [br]  [br] The first foundation:[br] In the beginning it was a "Come and hear" what God has said and what God was doing. God used many avenues to speak: through people, places, and environments of whom he was and the principles of his ways in the world. From Adam and all the way up to the prophets, the people of God did not have a visual of God to relate to that in which was speaking. Enoch walked by faith with God with no historical documentation of miracles he did. Noah was perfect before God before the wrath upon the whole entire earth. Abraham’s heart at 75 years old was much more distinct than the race of sorcery and bewitchments of the Chaldeans and God chose him. [br] They heard the voice of the Lord in their hearts and believed that he was the way of righteousness. They listened unto a voice that would call unto them to listen and believe what God is, and what he was doing. He would tell them to follow his commandments, to step out on faith and to believe that he was the absolute truth. He did many external miracles to get people to believe that his power was greater than all but no one ever got a chance to see God beside the manifestations he had did. Some of the popular examples were through: the burning bush, the splitting of the red sea, or even the signs that were given to Elijah on Mt Horeb. Even more popular are of the signs that a man, Elijah, himself had did. This is something that people can relate more to, someone who did unbelievable things yet breathed the same air we breathe. [br] However, this wasn’t a success to the whole plan of God because no matter what people saw God do they could not build a consistency of belief to the Lifestyle that he chose for them to walk in. To walk the life he called for we needed an example of character, expression, emotion, and principle that a man is able to demonstrate. The Old Testament was just the Law against the flesh. [br] [br] What were God’s characteristics? [br] How did God feel? [br] [br] Even to Moses (the servant of God), God told him to cloak himself as he passed by because of the power and glory of himself, for Moses to only see God's hinder parts and never a face to face situation. Why could we not see God? We could not see God because the time was not fulfilled yet for the earth to receive God, in the flesh of a man. [br] [br] The time was still in the indignation of God against all of human kind for the sin of Adam and Eve. There were many covenants made with patriarchs to establish a new order of God but no one redeemed mankind before the face of God. Therefore, we see through the prophets and written inspirations of the Lord that people of the old had to only "hear" what God has said and externally what he does. Many times it was a bitter and angry disposition to a wicked and adulterous people who only loved themselves. The knowledge of who he was on this earth had not yet come [br] The second foundation: [br] The second was "Come and See" this reference was more noticeable in the new testament with Jesus. Jesus was the walking manifestation of the word of God. He was the son of the almighty God...He, through his death, redeemed man from the fall of Adam and brought the whole world into grace with God. Even though he being the redeemer of all mankind it was conditional to the exact blueprint that he gave to man. I don’t think people respect Jesus enough to understand why he was chosen and someone like Moses, Elijah, or John the Baptist could not have been the savior. For a better explanation please read Hebrew 9:11-28. All that Jesus was: from birth, promise, prophecy, and presentation were a visual to the world of the character of God. He fulfilled all that was spoken of himself, he cherished all that his Father established, and he related unto the people a bridge to allow people to understand whom his Father really was through his expression of love. Not the wrath of an angry deity that was always killing everything or drowning the world, but a compassionate and merciful Spiritual Father who was the truth and creator of all things. Jesus grounded in that it was God because all things that man would give Jesus the glory for he credited it back to God. So through Jesus, we as the body of Christ can see God’s emotion to life, his reaction to common things, and his expression to those around him the true interpretation of God in the world. In as much the people had two levels of reaction to God in a man. There were some who loved him with all their heart and there were some who hated God. Jesus’ true interpretation of truth, love, and faith exposed every man and woman under the sun. He was like a mirror to every person’s deed and thought; and in his death and resurrection he justified the trespass of one man’s sin which inevitably was all of man’s sin. [br] [br] The third foundation: [br] [br]After Jesus was crucified and resurrected from the dead there we have the "Come and Dine." What does this mean? [br] When Jesus first makes his appearance back to the disciples in the book of John (John 21) He tells them to come to the shore (they were fishing) and to dine with him. The apostles had been out fishing all day and did not catch a thing, at all. From the shore, Jesus tells them to cast on the other side of the boat. There, they caught a multitude of fishes and were awakened to whom it was that gave them this information. It was their master. What does the catching of the multitude of fish mean? Do you remember that Jesus said that we would become the fishers of men? We would save souls that were and are in a world that is similar to Noah's time. Where they all choose to walk in the flesh till the whole world was corrupted. Many of us are baptized by water but not born by his Holy Spirit. Getting someone to say a sinner’s prayer and saying they are saved but they curse at other people, beat their spouses, covet, and are jealous. What did you save them from? [br] It’s more or less a means of teaching another Jesus, for the bible says “Many shall come in my name, and I will say I never knew you.” Many that do do these things are the very ones who profess to know God. John says “Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen him nor known him.” (1 John 3:6) [br] We can't save someone else unless we ARE SURE we are saved ourselves. Are we saved from anger, impatience, unbelief, cursing, compromise, mocking, drinking, smoking, lusting with our eyes, impure thoughts, and an evil heart. This is such the life that we should live. We are to come to the table of the LORD, a holy Lord, and dine with him in fellowship. We can't walk a life of barrenness hoping to walk in the fulfillment of what he calls us to do unless we truly LISTEN to where he says Go and what he says to do. Many of us do, listen to his word or go to church to hear the preaching of the gospel but lack the power of walking it in this world. [br] How do we come and dine with Jesus?[br] You hear the word of the Lord and you do it. The more you practice one small scripture till it becomes grafted in your spirit. You overcome the enemy in that one small area of life because you have believed in that word. Then you go on to two scriptures, three, then chapters and books. You then study the character of Men and women of God and duplicate it. Then you come into discipleship with Jesus where you learn of how he loved, taught, and interacted with man. Duplicating him down to the way he was with his own family and in the fellowship of his sufferings. Which we all as brethren bear, there you will see the bread and wine that sits before you daily as a son or daughter to the things of God. The faith and reverence for God that cannot be stolen by the enemy. [br] Then our storehouses of life shall be filled with love, joy, peace and most of all Rest. You then are elevated not by your material possession but your spiritual obedience. For our God rests in the heavens and the Kingdom of God shall be at hand in our hearts. [br] The partaking of his flesh and blood was the communion with God and of the bread of life, the sanctifying blood of the new covenant. Our communion with God is a new covenant that was established through the obedience of Christ. This come and dine is such an invitation to anyone God draws unto himself. He wants you to hear him, he wants you to love him, and most of all he wants to dwell in you to manifest his Glory through you. The bible says that "Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit". Yet it's not really so when we our bodies are filled with cigarettes smoke, drugs, or alcohol.[br] [br] Did you know every time you praise the lord in song in church he hears the vengeance in your spirit for those who do you wrong, or the backbiting of people when no one is looking? He hears the vanity in your heart and he begins to turn away because your song to him is not sung correctly.[br] Brethren, he is all that you will ever need... If you are in a state that you need his power to over come the areas that you struggle in, ask him. He will give to you without a doubt so you can fellowship with his nature and be of his Kingdom. You just have to seek to "Come and Dine" with him and he will meet you at the field with a hug, a robe, a ring, and some new shoes.[br] Your brother in Christ, [br] R.Williams[br] www.realisticimaginations.com [br] randyw@realisticimaginations.com [br]
