The Mercy Union is a brand new project that James and I began cultivating about a year ago after a visit from Sarah Kelly to our church, Springcreek Church in Garland. We wrote "Only You" within a week after her visit, but it wasn't until we met Chris Megert that we were able to record it. Our church recently recorded a worship album, and that's how we met Chris. He's an amazingly talented person and he took our rough acoustic version of the song and breathed life into it. We are so grateful. With the help of some amazing friends and musicians like Chris August (keys), Chris LaCorte (guitar) , Scott Harper (bass) and Jacob Schrodt (drums), this song has been fully realized. We are in the process of writing more songs and will get them recorded as the resources are provided. We put this site up to share our music with everyone, and we hope it touches you in a way that's deep and profound. The journey that's led us to where we are now has been anything but smooth, and we've still got a long way to go. The most important thing we've learned though, is that you don't have to be perfect before you're able to share the good news with people. You don't have to be perfect before you start taking the promises of God as your own. And we are so grateful.

Right now we are reading a book by Rob Bell called "Sex God" and we recently finished his other book "Velvet Elvis"
