I've always had a heart for Men's Ministry. Todays man has been portrayed as frightened little boys afraid of their bosses, their wives, their girlfriends and their government. They are afraid of their employees, their children and their children's teachers. They are not men, because the hallmark of a real man is one who is not ruled by fear. What is lacking is Christ! Was Jesus a weak, ineffectual, timid person in the temple, in the garden, on the cross? Can you imagine the Apostle Paul remaining silent for fear someone might take offense to his words? It is men who have allowed this to happen, it is the fathers who shirk their responsibility to their sons and the young men who choose the soft and easy way of leisure over the less comfortable path of discipline. The blame falls squarely on the shoulders of US. Not U.S.A., but us, the members of the body who are not fulfilling the great commission.

The Lord has blessed me with a beautiful, supportive wife, and 4 wonderfull, terrific boys! I do kind of like riding my motorcycle too ;)

That book of James really can get my attention...something about being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, that has my name writen all over it.
