From a nobody to a Kings Daughter,
The enemy tried to take me out 3 times by the time i was 6 months old. My mom had a shot to start her monthly cycle, then at 2 1/2 weeks old i had bronchial viral pneumonia and a stroke, which resulted in my right side having paralysis.
It wasn't until i was 13 months old that the Drs would acknowledge there was a problem. I spent many nights in the childrens hospital in Seattle Washington. I had many surgeries to correct problems from the stroke. I wore a brace on my right foot until i was about 12 yrs of age. You could hear me coming a mile away HEHE. People would stare and talked about me like i wasn't there. I finally started walking up to people telling them what had happened. The kids were very mean to me in grade school, teasing me daily. When i moved in high school I made myself a promise that one day. I would show everyone that i could make it on my own and do everything they said i would never do. Such as go to college, live on my own, making a living for myself. I graduated from high school in 1982. In the spring of 1983 I tryed to get into college in Alton Ill, where they told me i would never pass the easiest class. that crushed my dreams . In 1985 i got married, and in 1986 I found out I had a tubal pregnancy. Again I was close to death at 6 weeks along they had to do emergency surgery. In 1987 my husband and i moved to England for 3 yrs. When the tour was over we moved in with my parents for 2 yrs.
In 1996 the Drs found a mass behind my uterus and we went in for surgery once again. To find another baby attached .There had been a pinhole in the tuble that had been tied.Again my world had been torn apart.This time I was at peace , because I knew my babies was in Heaven with Jesus.
I was raised in church off and on though out my life , but never had a personal realationship with God.
In 1997 God got a hold of me and said it is now or never! I gave my life to the Lord on January 26, 1997. In March or April I found my home church, First Assembly of God , now known as I worship Center, with Pastors Eric and Cheryl Hansen.
In 1998 Pastor Hansen started Springfield Bible Institute. And each yr God would put someone in my path to encourage me to go. Each yr I would say no , until the spring of 2001 I said ok, God I will go . I told God He would have to put everything I needed to get through in my path way. I graduated in Nov 2002 with 3 A's 3 B's and 5 C's . For me that was awesome , you see I never got above a C- in school and that was the easy classes.My biggest encouragers were my parents and tachers . They would encourage and pray for me when i got discouraged. Graduting from college has been my most rewarding accomplishement. Not because I did it , but because God helped me do it. I asked God for 2 months "Why" am I going to Bible college? He said because I want you to help Pastors Cheryl and Eric to win the lost.
God took a broken nobody and turned her into a "King's Daughter. |
